Get out with your Sunfish for our Sunfish fleet races to hone your skills, get in some racing with all Sunfish, and hang out with others in the WPSA Sunfish community always on Tuesday nights at 6pm, wind and weather permitting.  June 7nd is a Tune-Up race and is not scored for the series!  Please come down and get your boat ready for sailing with us and Fleet Captain, Lee Montes!  Watch on Facebook for weather cancellations.

Adults, youths - all welcome.  These races are weather dependent - and may be cancelled if wind or weather is poor or hazardous conditions exist.

Watch for what race is eligible for the "Ma" Huus Trophy!

August is the Ma Huus!

Sunfish are also welcome to join the Friday night PHRF Race series, with staggered starts for different classes of boats.

REGISTRATION IS INFORMAL!  Show up on Tuesdays BEFORE 6pm and see Fleet Captain, Lee Montes.  Not ready to go?  Come down and watch the fleet prep their boats and ask all the questions you want!  They love to share!  Adults and youth are welcome to participate if they are able to be unsupervised and a life jacket is a must.  We have a safety boat out on the water for race nights as well, for peace of mind.

History of the "Ma" Huus:   "The CC Knockabout Class donated the "Ma" Huus Trophy in 1965 to commemorate Augusta M. "Ma" Huus, whose service, spirit and devotion to the association was of unparalleled importance in leading the organization to it's present high esteem and whose particular interest in the CC Knockabout Class helped in sustaining that class so that it had existed as an active racing class longer than any other in the Wet Pants Sailing Association.  It is now awarded to the Wet Pants Member who has the best record in a three race Sunfish Series.  Ma Huus was Financial Secretary and also served on the Race Committee when not crewing for her husband.  She was also the recipient of the Sacred Pants in 1959."
