Get out and join our Handicap Sailboat Race series!  Fleet races hone your skills, get in some racing with others in the WPSA Sunfish community with Fleet Captain, Jesse Amendola on Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm, (posted 8pm end time is an approximate time off the water, and may vary!!) wind and weather permitting.  Please come down EARLIER to rig and launch.  Be out and check in at the committee boat before the 6:00pm start - give your name and sail number or boat name for each race.  If you don't have a sail number to identify, you can apply a simple one (numbers or a letter etc) with electrical tape (they are typically 9-12" high.  Free to race!  

Adults, youths - all ages welcome, all sailors must be capable to sail, maneuver, and capsize recover independently and without supervision.  Dates are weather dependent - and may be cancelled if wind/weather are poor or hazardous conditions exist.  Check on Facebook for weather cancellations, the SportsYou app, or with Fleet Captain, Jesse Amendola.  

RACES START AT 6:00PM, SO IT IS SUGGESTED YOU ARRIVE AROUND 5PM TO GET RIGGED AND OUT ON THE COURSE AS THE SUNFISH FLEET WILL FOLLOW WITH A START 15 MINUTES LATER.  FOR LATE ARRIVALS, SEE THE RACE COMMITTEE BOAT FOR INSTRUCTIONS BUT DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE SUNFISH COURSE!

RACE REGISTRATION IS INFORMAL - AND FREE!  It is helpful for us if you register here for a headcount and be on the course to start at 6:00pm.  DO check in on the water at the race committee boat with your name and sail number, every race.  DO alert the race committee boat if you ever have to go in to shore early or have any issues on the water so they are aware you are off the water and safe as they are busy officiating the sunfish race.
